Sarah Vowell is well known to any This American Life fan, and most of the stories previously aired on the radio. A woman with progressive sensibilities, a love of music, and who wouldn't object to cleaning a pistol on the dinning room table amounts to my vision of perfection. Her stories are about personal experiences, laced with a wry humour. Topics range from lighthearted faire about making mix tapes or visiting Goth nightclubs, to more serious topics such as her trek retracing the Cherokee Trail of Tears. I highly recommend her material.
